The Tata Nexon EV with a standard battery pack of 30.3 kWh is now called the Tata Nexon EV Prime. With the new name, the new Tata Nexon EV MAX with a more extended range will stand out more from the regular model. Tata Motors has also decided to add some new features to the Prime that were first added to the MAX.
The more expensive Tata Nexon EV MAX now has the same four-step regenerative braking system as the cheaper Nexon EV Prime. This feature will also come with a feature that turns on the Nexon EV Prime’s rear brake lights to warn drivers behind. It that the vehicle’s speed is slowing down. Especially in the city, the regenerative braking levels should also help save energy and put it back into the battery. Can this new feature on the Nexon EV Prime improve the real-world range?
Tata’s connected platform used to make an items system for the Nexon EV Prime. This would let the user check the tire pressure on a paired device using Tata’s proprietary connected platform and companion app. Tata will also add to the Tata Nexon EV Prime some related features based on smartwatches. Just like the more expensive Nexon EV MAX. The Nexon EV Prime will also be able to use Cruise Control.
Tata Motors plans to add these new features to Tata Nexon EVs already on the market. On July 25, Tata will add many free software-based features to the Tata Nexon EV already on the market. The company plans to teach current buyers about the new features through a training programme. This will help them get up to speed on the new features.
Existing customers might not have to pay for the software for these new features. But they might have to pay for the hardware. Which would include a switch for controlling regen and cruise control. The work done at an authorized Tata service center.
Tata Motors could add new features through software updates shortly, and these updates could cost extra money.
The Tata Nexon EV Prime’s powertrain, design, and features are mostly the same as the model it replaces.
