Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was killed a day after the government took away his protection.

On Sunday, Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi singer and Congress leader, was killed by gunfire at Jawaharke in Mansa district.

Reports say that two other people were hurt in the same incident in which more than 30 shots were fired. Moose Wala was very bad when he was taken to the civil hospital in Mansa. There, he was declared dead.

The incident happened a day after the Punjab Police ordered him and more than 420 other people, including former MLAs, Jathedars of two Takhts, heads of Deras, and police officers, to give up their security. But Mansa SSP Gaurav Toora said that four police officers protected Moose Wala and that only two gunmen were taken away temporarily. In December of last year, the 29-year-old singer joined the Congress and ran for office in Punjab on a Congress ticket from the Mansa district in 2022, but he lost.

Congress said that Moose Wala’s “murder” was a terrible shock to the party and the country. “The murder of Shri Sidhu Moose Wala, a Congress candidate from Punjab and a talented musician, has shocked the Congress party and the whole country terribly. We are very sorry for his family, fans, and friends. “In this time of great sadness, we stand together and will not be stopped,” the party tweeted.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he was horrified by the brutal murder and that no one involved would be let off the hook. “The brutal murder of Siddhu Moosewala has left me shocked and very sad. I’m thinking about and praying for his family and all of his fans around the world. I ask everyone to be quiet.”

Former chief minister and leader of the Akali Dal Sukhbir Singh Badal expressed sadness over the death and criticized Mann’s government for taking away Moose Wala’s security. “This is a very serious and important time, and we all need to show restraint and leadership.” As for the CM, he needs to think hard about why Punjab has gone from law and order to chaos under his watch.

“The CM must also honestly consider if the cheaply populist decision to take away Moosewala’s security is directly to blame for the tragedy. After all, his life was in real danger. “This is not the time to score political points, but someone needs to take responsibility for the situation,” Badal wrote.

Sidhu Moose Wala Killed

The civil surgeon at Mansa hospital said that Moose Wala was brought in dead, while the other two were given primary care and then sent to another hospital for further care.

“Three people were taken to the hospital, but Sidhu Moosewala was already dead when they got there. “After first aid, the two injured people were sent to a higher institute for more care,” Dr. Ranjeet Rai was quoted by the news agency ANI as saying.
