OnePlus has finally announced the OxygenOS 13 skin for its devices, which is based on Android 13. The news came out on Wednesday, at the same time as the release of the OnePlus 10T. Once Google releases the stable version of Android 13 later this year, it will be available for all phones that qualify, including those made by OnePlus and Nord. The Android 13 update is available for the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10T, OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and more. As was said, the update start happening later this year.
OxygenOS 13 said to be faster, run more smoothly, and be more stable. It also has a brand-new design called Aquamorphic, which is based on how water flows. The edges of the UI are soft and rounded. OnePlus says that the new update makes widgets easier to use by making them available with one long press. Also, OxygenOS 13’s colours will change automatically based on the time of day you use the device.
A built-in AI booster with advanced, smart memory management systems will let you suspend more apps at once. This will make it easy to switch between apps. It said that this will make things go faster, smoother, and not stop. OnePlus says that this will also help make better use of memory.
For looks, OnePlus also gives the OxygenOS 13 new AOD (always-on-display) screens. It’s getting more suggestions based on what’s going on in AoD. In India, food deliveries from Swiggy and Zomato able to be tracked through the AOD feature. You can also get Spotify’s AoD widget and many more customization options, such as Bitmoji, Canvas, etc.

With OxygenOS 13, OnePlus’s smart launcher makes folders and their contents bigger on the home screen so that you can get to apps faster from folders (Similar to the Nothing Launcher). You can tap on the apps inside the folders without opening the folder itself.
OnePlus is adding a new toolbox to the sidebar, making it easier to use with one hand. This will bring up apps and tools that came with the phone, such as a calculator, notes, and more. The most important thing that OxygenOS 13 will add is support for spatial audio, which means that sounds will come from all around you. This lets you change where the sound comes from in different apps. But users will need hardware that works with it. The device also works with Dolby Atmos.
Fast Pair makes it easy to connect your device to wireless earbuds or headphones that support it. You can easily switch from one audio device to another or the other way around with Audio Switch. OxygenOS 13 also gets the HyperBoost Gaming Engine, Nearby Share, which lets you transfer content from Android and Windows devices, and App streaming, which enables you to cast what’s on your screen to other ChromeOS devices nearby.
OxygenOS 13 will automatically warn you about dangerous downloads and apps, making it safer. Private Safe 2.0 locks away data, documents, and media files in a virtual safe so other programmes can’t get to them.
