WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has just added How to build a WhatsApp community. The brand-new feature enables users to merge up to 50 WhatsApp groups into a single community. As a consequence of the instant messaging platform, communities such as neighbourhoods, schools, and businesses may now connect many groups and organise group discussions. How to build a WhatsApp community
First, launch WhatsApp on your smartphone.
Tap New conversation followed by New Community
Tap Get Started now.
Enter the community’s name, description, and profile picture in the fourth step. The maximum allowed length for a community name is 24 characters.
Tap the Camera icon to add a caption and a community symbol to your photo.
Now, press Next to add existing groups or to create new ones.
When adding groups to your community is complete, hit Create.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind concerning WhatsApp’s Community function. These include:
In addition to the announcement group, you may add up to 49 other groups.
A community announcement group may have up to 5,000 members.
- Any member of the community may join a group.
- An announcement group will be formed immediately for your community.
- This is where community administrators may send announcements to the whole announcement group.
The instant messaging application has introduced additional capabilities for its users. These include the ability to establish in-chat polls, video calls for up to 32 people, and groups with up to 1024 members. Similar to emoji responses, greater file sharing, and admin delete control, these capabilities may be utilised in any group and will also be beneficial for Communities, according to the business.
