Hero MotoCorp, which makes two-wheelers, is the biggest company in the country. Next month, it will launch its first electric model in the domestic market. The two-wheeler company’s dealers, investors, and distributors around the world have all been invited to the event in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Sources in the industry have confirmed that the company will release its first electric vehicle (EV) at the event.
In March of this year, Hero MotoCorp said it had set up a USD 100 million (about Rs 760 crore) global fund to support over 10,000 entrepreneurs working on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) solutions, such as its upcoming electric vehicles (EVs).
The company that makes two-wheeled vehicles wants to use the Vida brand to market new ways to get around.
Sources say that the product was made at the company’s R&D hub in Jaipur, which is called the Centre of Innovation and Technology. The product will be made at the company’s manufacturing plant in Chittor, which is in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
