Audi, a luxury car company from Germany, has reached a new milestone by installing more than 100 charging stations for electric cars in India. These chargers are in 60 cities, including Audi dealerships, workshops, and SAVWIPL Group (Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited) touchpoints along major highways. All Audi showrooms have 22kW Type 2 AC chargers, but only dealerships in Pune, Mumbai South, Goa, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Chennai, Ludhiana, Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore Central, Karnal, Delhi West, Delhi South, Guwahati, and Surat have 50kW DC fast charging stations. SAVWIPL has also set up 22kW Type-2 AC fast chargers at some of its dealerships across the country. Audi puts in over 100 electric vehicle chargers all over India.
At the moment, the brand sells a wide range of electric cars in the country, such as the e-tron 50, e-tron 55, e-tron Sportback 55, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.
Audi India’s head, Balbir Singh Dhillon, said, “We have a clear plan for sustainable mobility and are committed to building an electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. We have successfully set up more than 100 chargers across India, and we will keep adding more in the coming days, months, and years to make owning an Audi e-tron or other EV as easy as possible.
